McKenzie's book is excellent and thorough, and belongs on the shortlist of good "how to draw comics" books, alongside COMICS AND SEQUENTIAL ART, MAKING COMICS, and the underrated HOW TO DRAW COMICS THE MARVEL WAY.

I'm not sure why it hasn't garnered more attention; perhaps it's because McKenzie isn't well-known on the American side of the /5(6). In fact, in the book I state, "In learning to draw comics there are two distinct stages: first you must learn how to draw; second, you must learn how to draw comics.

Obviously, this book is concerned with the second stage." Contrary to "A Reader's" assertions, "How to Draw and Sell Comics" does cover drawing, but it also spends some time on the 5/5(6).
